Hello chaps

i am on my second BGM unit ( first one stopped after about 3 months ?? it was cheaper to replace ) i think i must have been unlucky. The second one i have fitted i used some silicon thinking vibrarion may have been an issue and i havent had any problems still works great one of the best items i have ever bought for a lambretta. I have BGM 12 volt stator fitted also so i suppose that helps. Would definatley recomend for what they cost to buy.

Cheers

You can, go DC ;)

True, but the benefits imho FAR outweigh the possibility of the battery failing. You don't HAVE to have a battery on a DC system, even if the battery does go flat, the lights etc will still work straight off the stator. You just wouldn't benefit from flicker free lights that stay on when the engine cuts out.
