Not unless I connect the battery... which I don't often because I put the switch in a pretty inconvenient spot.

Just done a mates and fitted a relay to isolate the battery as he was concerned about his Cam Lam fuel light staying on. I opted for a relay that turns on when the lights are on so he can start the scoot at 2nd position. but when he goes to lights the battery is connected so none of his spot lights can be turned on while he is away. If it was just his gauge light it could have been connected to the black at the headset so only on with lights. same result.

The light output for your average Mr Mod with lights means he can run working lights that give out light.
On these they have a condenser lens forward and others pointing back to light up the reflector. I removed the resistor fitted to fool the cars electronics as wattage on these Cree LEDS are so low the Canbus circuit on a car thinks the bulb has blown.
Not cheap but the light output is amazing

Thanks for the replies and its a job for next weekend, when I can find time. But just to be sure, the white wire stays where it is, as this is the earth for the electrics and it is the thin bare wire coming from the lighting coils that I clip and solder to a new wire that goes up to the Wassel. I'll post pictures next week for those wanting to do the same with a Vespa.

As for DC, got this on 3 of my lambrettas with a dry battery. And as Monty says, lots of advantages, with constant bright lights, whatever the revs and the chance to put on a loud horn.

Correct

i ride a t5 classic, no battery use a mod charger so any firther advantages for me

further its late

mod charger won't work unless engine running.
The mod charger has only one outlet and can only supply small amounts of current (no good for lights, etc)
By using a battery it also helps smooth out the voltage and eliminates nasty spikes which may damage sensitive equipment (phones, etc).
