poor rear brake performance

So only one type of shoe that fits both cams?

Yes different size pivots for each type cam.

If it helps.. i had an issue with next to useless rear brake - indian casing. where only 1 shoe was making contact .. as a test I ended up welding a 2mm strip of metal to the shoe at the point where the shoe contacts the cam (upper shoe).. after much re testing and filing down of the added piece, both shoes now lock the hub nicely.. now that I have the exact measurement for the metal strip i will at some-point add this to the cam itself.. so I don't have to do this with eveytime I change the shoes.. also don't have to use proprietary Jockey shoes.

I read on FB that this particular issue was resolved by removing 10mm from the cable outer... :-?
