Interesting stuff. I don't think I've ever seen it claimed that the tubeless alloy rims had an effect on handling, apart from the obvious characteristics when it comes to punctures and such like.

No Mark, but my racing wheels (rim and tyre) are a fraction of the weight of a normal one (steel rims, tyre, tube + gloop).

It is very noticeable.

That's why they have them on sports cars you numpty!

Minimum unsprung weight = maximum going round corners.

You need good roads for those alloy rims. Mild steel bends a little when hitting potholes and "road repairs", alloy wheels can shatter. That's why in Poland I stick to steel rims. Alloy car rims are known to shatter on the kinds of roads we have over here. Another reason I want to leave this shite country. I wish my wife would agree.
