Speedo not working

Thats why Im changing it that speedo was on scoot when S in Law bought it

I see what you mean now. most PX style speedos are notorious for snapping cables/breaking drives etc. I find the best way to get a working speedo, is to clean the hub drive scrupriously , and fit a new cable and drive, and only use very light oil on the drive and cable, NO grease. screw on cables, back it off half a turn after fitting, snap on cables, tug it back when its snapped on, if you get me drift. this relieves the pressure on the inner rubbing on the speedo housing, which gives the "giegercounter" effect .
