Cam Lam in my opinion are one of the best out there. Never had any problems with them or their stuff. As for Scootrs I've just spent close to £500 with them and I had to fettle every part to make them useable. They didn't seem to care less and to top it off i got a £33 import duty bill. I'll never use them again.

Which parts were particularly bad?

To be fair ScootRS make it very clear that you will be responsible for any import duty. I have found their website ordering to be really good with excellent communication. I agree that some fettling is often needed, but I've just fitted a mbgm clubman (surely from one of the more high quality dealers/manufacturers and certainly not cheap) and guess what, that needed fettling as well to fit!

A set of drops that arrived with a broken rim the gear change was so tight it wouldn't turn. The mount for the hydraulic master cylinder wouldn't fit either. All needed filing down to get them on. The disc brake had a spindle that must of been hammered in as it was very very tight and the thread one end was completely shot. The disc on the brake was warped too.The spacer tube inside was twice the size of a standard one and rattled about. I had to buy a new rim, disc and spindle. They didn't give a toss either very poor service and attitude.
