£35 is probably in your small print as a standard admin charge.
It is on mine too.
Got caned on that when I sold 1 bike from 2 on a policy, laughed down the phone when they said '£35 please' and told them to forget it and put the phone down.

Paying £100ish for a GP225 (declared as 225 but no modifications :-) The minute you state 'modifications' you are asking insurers to drop you/refuse to insure IME.
I'm sure all insurers aren't the same but CN/FJs new underwriters don't like mods.

And the minute you have an accident they'll refuse to pay up because you didn't declare the modifications.

Sorry to hear you've been having trouble with your insurance. To pay £35 to change the licence type sounds a little harsh to me.

If you look for a classic insurance through ourselves, you could be looking at around £60-£100 - depending on your details though this could be more.

Feel free to have a browse on our website. It explains who we are, what classic insurance is and what we can offer you.

Let me know if you have any more questions or you think I can help in any way.

Thanks

Quote from yourselves is over £150

Basically it seems unless you've held you licence for a year or 2 it doesn't make much difference if you've passed your test or not :!: :!: :!:

Can you PM me the reference so I can see what I can do? Some of our classic policies aren't quoting online at the moment and I might be able to save you a little bit of money.

Thanks
