How is the rust / rust effect created ? ]
Time and the elements... This is not a 'rust effect' paint but good old fashioned oxidization

(hence why it took so long to build...nature has to take its course).
The internals (underside of frame loop, frame, inside of panels etc) are painted. The legshields, frame loop, panels were taken back to bare metal and then had a rust converter lightly rubbed over them. I got this stuff from a company next door to where I work who supply the Navy; you are meant to slap loads of this stuff on and it turns rust black, neutralizing it and then you paint over the top. With a light covering on bare metal the surface will still oxidize but won't really take hold... well that's what I found when experimenting last year...only time will tell if it really works

You are right as usual... these are 'Ade bars'...these ones in fact
Haven't used the Bates light or speedo as they didn't look right, and also had a collar made to cover the gap between the headset clamp and the chrome ring.

Not sure about the grips as they came as part of the deal for the bars.
