The inner part is hardened but the clutch outer is unhardened therefore I would think that it would make sense for the bush NOT to spin in the clutch outer. Even though the bronze is softer, the unhardened steel of the outer would still wear quicker than the inner over time.

aye Im not saying it should spin it should be a press fit, but I don't think loctiting it is the way to go :-/
Dont forget that the original li types were x 2 roller bearings after all.

going back to your origional question....phew....for what your trying to achieve you need locktite retainer and NOT threadlock

It sounds like a true king size bodge to locte something so thin, exposed to high pressures. Maybe I am wrong...

On the original ones designed to run with needle rollers the sprocket face is hardened. So are some after market ones, but you shouldn't run original GP ones with bearings.
FWIT I agree I don't think this should be fixed in place.
