it was only a short burst for a couple of miles (sometimes they just sing - must be atmospheric conditions or sommat - or slightly lean)

i wonder if the lack of "header" weight in the tank had lowered the flow rate or it was the fuel tap - will have to check

ordered a cam alm one to be sure - if it aint that i'm stumped as plug colour was perfect and no engine leaks

wonder if i can continuity check thew wires on the mtech..............

Mick, i recon the big crack in your 300 mile old exhaust has a lot to do with your bike seizing !

franspeed race tailcan rivets gone, the perforated baffle inside is in 3 bits, 2 x six inch cracks from where the bracket was on the expansion - the bracket has completely cracked off - not bad for 300 miles

this is getting unsustainable

i had an issue at the weekend, i suspected the tap in the first place as the scoot felt it was running out of fuel, bought myself an italian omg tap from grand prix scooters and fitted the same day, 70ml from rear exit fast flow tap in 1 minute, 750ml from italian omg tap, thats better. it was the copy version from a certain lambretta shop in nottingham (b******s), and not the cam lam version.
DO NOT USE CHEAP REAR EXIT TAPS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
ONLY FIT THE ONES FROM DEALERS LIKE MRB, CAM LAM etc etc

Can you not open up the crap ones and drill out where necessary? I've opened up cheap standard taps previously and had them flowing well, when I had an issue with a long range tank and the tap hitting the engine mount. The standard [Indian crappy] tap was shorter so cleared the mount.

A little known benefit of having a rear exit fuel tap is that you can actually see if the tap is opening correctly by looking up the tube. Which is very handy if you've had it apart and can see if it's open and going on reserve. Probably best to try this when the tank is empty or prior to fitting though.
