Thanks for your replies. I tried to remove the old tap out of the sportique, however I'm sure the nut was smaller than the petrol tap spanner I have 
I have ordered a fast flow tap, the speed from the original tap was terrible, as we now have a PX 180 engine in, better be safe than sorry! Dave
