be interested to hear how it fits

my 28mm dellorto is canted like the pic above, tried a standard elbow with ramair sat atop it, but panel wouldnt go on

You're still better of with the 60mm one and use the Dellorto screw on bellmouth as the aperture is 16mm bigger so should allow it to breath better. Smaller one 44mm [if you can find one] fits Mikuni TM24 and Delly PHBL 25 carbs.

Not sure, I think the hole in the middle is the same size either way, the plastic 'standard' one has a bigger OD, and needs a bigger hose...but does that really mean a bigger flow?

I used to use one on my TS1 (MB RaceTour tune, Mikuni TMX on V-Force 3) and the small divet in the rubber caused by the panel pressing it in was enough that when I really gave it some from a standing start, the rubber bellows got sucked up to the carb opening, choking it off. Not good. I'm now looking at the Marchald short filter.

Mine is getting squashed by side panel

Mine is a little on my S2, I took the elbow off as it kept collecting the spitback fuel & bogging down, just got the foam directly onto the carb now & its squashed a bit but runs a lot better.

I've got cut down side panels on my gp but I'm sure the foam would still hit the panel may look at it weekend . May also try drilling 1mm hole to drain spit back from rubber bellows

Maybe have to look at shortened manifold as well ?
