well the good news is that my rebuilt indian stator works, will fit the BGM when it arrives,but I just had to fit the SIL one and try it
fuel on, left it while I found keys, choke on, feel kickstart over for compression, 1 kick and its alive, knock choke off and hold throttle a little as it wont idle, leave it for a bit, give alittle rev,yup sounds better
then the important bit,will it rev proper,:) yup, bit unclean and lumpy
wouldnt pull away without choke on,so turned it off and dug out my carb bits
AV266 and X13 2nd clip from top in there now, it still doesnt rev totally clean,but maybe Im just too used to modern moto cross engines and bike engines?
took it for a spin round car park, opened it up in1st to about half throttle, bit fluffy, tried for 2nd gear, was funny, I took so long to think about and actually do the gear change to 2nd that I had slowed down sufficient that it almost stalled LOL LOL
jetting is now the next stage.
