I have to recommend the GT kit too to just 'pip' the other contenders given your requirements and budget.
You will want the one with the RHS inlet for your carb (not compatible with a battery tray).
Trade-in the exhaust and invest the remainder in either one of the new generation Clubmans or JL3 or Fresco or similar.

I can't recomend the gt kit highly enough. I've got a 30 phbh delly and a scootrs expension, in town its responsive, smooth without any boggyness. Will sit in 4th at 30mph in quite comfortably, but then get in on then open road it's superb, will it cruise comfortably at 65+mph with loads left.

Worth noting that a GT doesn't require 8/9000 revs to do that either.

Thanks for everyone's help / advice gonna spk to chalkie later today to find out total damage cost to fix . I think whilst he also has engine case of he may as well change sprockets gear ratio , fit new engine mounts as mine are collapsed and re shim wot needs doing plus price to fit mugello kit . Then il take it from there I'd like it back by Saturday at latest for royal standard ride out but doesn't look like it now

seeing as you dont need it until Saturday, why not have it fully airbrushed too?
think you might be pushing it a bit, full rebuild and run in for the weekend?
couple of hundred miles? to run it in, then back for dyno? I assume you cant dyno a new motor.

A tight deadline never helped me to make the right choice so far...
Maybe you can "borrow"/rent a well sorted spare engine for this run and you have time to decide about the layout that suits you best. I don't have any experiences with the GT kit, but it would be the one I would have in mind for a nice smallblock engine (and the soon-to-be-here? RT kit ...)
