hi shocky cant coment as never been on the rd at night with the bullet lights but like u say can b seen longway off i put them on incase i broke down at night look on there site to see reviews of the diff lights they do alli can say is i have two bullet ones and each one is prob 10 times that of a gp pilot light or headlamp on tick over

Whatever you get, read the spec carefully. I bought what was advertised as a car type H4 fitment light. What it actually turned out to be was a crappy chinese moped bulb bulb with an H4 plug soldered to it.

i also use the reedspeed bulb xeon i think which are way better than a halengon and have just installed the new pm gp headlamp which is claimed a better beam but this is only good if u ride a gp lol

ive seen the pm light on another thread by timbo it looks good in design how does the quality compare for the other remade lights like this what is the blb holder/bullet connector holes like in terms of quality

It might be worth giving Knowledge a PM, he is using a pair of led spot lights in place of the headlight on his Arbarth special so presumably they work well.

I have a Miller spot and fog (similar to pathfinders but slightly smaller) on my LiS which have 50 watt bulbs in and are fantastic with a good spread of light and a decent range. I have the full DC Wassel conversion and a 7.2 Amph battery which is good enough for intermittent use of the spots.

not sure what it is, I've had it on the shelf for years, some old 60s car spotlamp
It comes on when i switch to main beam.
using a relay to save overloading the switch
of course, I have full DC conversion
It lights the road ahead to the next bend, and all around me. when i first started using it I kept thinking a car was behind me...

Cheers for the suggestions, those LED lights posted look good at making you more visible. But do they project a good beem of light?

The GP headlight is no good for me lol

Personally im not bothered if it looks rough and ready or not. Just want something that helps me see a bit more. I will look at the spot light you suggested timbo.

I run a BGM regulator and battery (cant remember the size) But it will only be used when caught in the dark on the way too and from a rally. Not constant use.

They will absolutely light up the road ahead..... BUT

2 x 55w spots = 110watts of consumption not to mention 35w for your own headlamp and brake light... The BGM stator puts out 120watts.

This set of spots and bulbs will not run without a battery feeding them, and only then for a limited period of time.

You could run just one of them.....
