try the new franspeed that is a in between the jl3 and the franspeed race its on his web site might be worth a try least you won't loose the bottom end and gain at the top

Just swapped emails with Andy F. He says the "Supertourer" gives a bit more in all areas compared to the JL3, as you say. He confirms that, with the Franspeed Race, I would lose low down power but gain loads of mid range and top end.

In my case, sounds like the Supertourer might be a better bet

Gotta say, my Franspeed race exhaust has been excellent, the muffler has needed some attention, but Andy Francis has recently arranged for me to have a new one for free, which is much appreciated. I have hit the down pipe area a couple of times, it hasnt budged, cracked or broken anywhere. I remember years ago the off the shelf frescos etc always cracked in several places usually requiring bungee straps to limp home from a rally. My franspeed exhaust has lost the nylocs a couple of times that bolt it to the engine block on the main bracket and it hasnt cracked or had any damage, a great product, made to last

Andy, it was my personal experience which I noticed when the motor was taken apart shortly after fitting the pipe (within 4 months), I then sold the motor complete with the pipe, so I had no need to contact you, I just think mine may have been a Friday afternoon one, but hey, these things happen, I know there are lots of happy customers, but I'm afraid I wasn't one of them.

To be fair the JL4 suffered clearance and cracking issues but haven't had the same with the Franspeed race.
What I have had is a wide range of varying shock lengths which is something Andy can't really do anything about. Couple in badly set up shocks and then off set engine cones and you can see there are a few variables which affect ground clearance-the same on all makes.
I've fitted more than a few of these and they are excellent pipes.

I also tested Franspeeds new road pipe yesterday which is much improved. Other improvements include the end can and bracketry. The pipe was tested on the same bike as the Scootering exhaust tests on the same dyno. I did a control run with the bikes original pipe and it matched previous results so I think comparisons are relevent.
I'm sending Andy the info tonight so once he's had that and digested it he can show you the improvements.

Anyone know exactly which issue of Scootering their latest TS1 exhaust test was in, where I think one of the NK pipes came out on top??
