It's the caliper bracket that needs to be different. If you cut the speedo housing it will just spin around and fook the cable up and worst case lock the front wheel up.

Can anyone help as to where to weld on the tie bar bracket on the fork leg? I seem to remember this subject was covered a while ago but I can't find it.

the kit comes with a bolt on aswell as a weld on bracket. if going down the welding route you use the bolt on first to find your prefered setting i.e move up or down the fork leg . then mark the centre , remove the weld on the weld on bracket. thats if you have the bolt on one to start with ;)

no, the speedo drive rotates until hits the bracket, this is what keeps it from turning. its only the locating slot that you need to trim back ;) . i did not like the way this worked but it does work. i hacked off the locating slot and the speedo drive aswell as i did not need the speedo drive. cheers simon
