I emailed a geezer about a pimped up 210 malossi engine on gumtree. It was toooo good to be true, but i thought: i am quite savvy, so what could go wrong?

After a few emails back and forth about viewing / collection etc (all with slightly poor spelling and no reference to the engine at all), he suggested he sent it recorded delivery, cash on collection. After inspection, i could just pay, or return to sender. Kool, what could be the scam there?

Well, i got an email with a 'Post Office' logo on it saying it would be delivered Tuesday week and that i had to get a voucher from the post office for 600 quid and send them a scan of it?

I think that these scammers can use the serial number from these vouchers to claim the cash.......

Maybe a simliar thing? Ask em a few technical questions about it, that should throw em. Maybe we should all bombard em with emails and lead em on / waste there time? Maybe then they will get bored and sod off?
