My entire SX 200 is powdercoated, then roughed up a tad, then primered, then painted with 2 pack. Powdercoat makes an excellent base provided your frame and sheet metal is perfect with no Bondo. If you want to go cheapish I would advise you to explore "Appliance Paint". I don't know what you call it there or if it's available, it's for fridges and stoves and such, things that get abuse and cleaning. Appliance paint is generally hardier that regular rattle can type paints.

Not a big fan of powder coating tbh
I reckon paint lasts better if done right and at least you can touch it in.
Once that powdercoat starts coming off yer fecked ..
