I'd double check on that one before ordering, I could be wrong but I don't think that is the higher spec one with shimmed big end.Bofs wrote:Glasgow Lambretta have the Meceur cranks advertised for £90, best deal on them I`ve seen.

So I'm at risk of bending my conrod running this crank with the Avanti on or is it just not fit for purpose on the rb?

This would be useful to know and if they don't have the MEC with shims who does for a comparable price?drunkmunkey6969 wrote:I'd double check on that one before ordering, I could be wrong but I don't think that is the higher spec one with shimmed big end.Bofs wrote:Glasgow Lambretta have the Meceur cranks advertised for £90, best deal on them I`ve seen.

The SR cranks are good with those Jap big end bearings, I've just got one for a 175 set up. The SIL rod might be an issue with an RB?

Andy, my experience here is dwarfed by the much more advanced "jedies" in the matter BUT, I would say that in order to fit the jap rod, you will need to check the stroke first, as the Jap rods always need a matching piston or a matching packing plate.
just to clarify, does the rb run standard length rod 107 and does it require a bigger oil slot in the big end.
yes to rod dont know about the oil slotJazzy wrote:just to clarify, does the rb run standard length rod 107 and does it require a bigger oil slot in the big end.
