Adam_Winstone wrote:Soosh, is this with a totally standard needle or has Jerome 'worked' it. With the modification that he and some other dyno tuners carry out it becomes virtually impossible to know whether you are comparing like like for like. The modified X13 that I left with in my Muggy, after a session at Jerome's, actually meassures up (micrometer) as being the same as an X2... and the X13 and X2 are VERY different in operation and atomiser requirement (based on the different taper length, even though shaft and tip diameters are the same).

Your needle may indeed be standard... but it very well may not be, any idea?

He did polish the needle slightly but when it was worn,I replaced with std.X13 and kept fingers crossed as i don't use egt. All good

"He did polish the needle slightly", that's not a YES or NO answer to 'was it standard'.... but it means NO.

Now you're just chancing it with a standard one, which would probably show weak on his dyno.... you so bad! :)

Dyno,shmyno,whatever..it works so that's good enough. I think he does it to most of the needles to be 100% safe.
