spoke to a local shop and he said £80 for rod, £80 for pin plus bearing and labour. these were for Jap parts, think it was an RG bearing? I need to call him up again and make sure I know exactly what im getting befor i commit, he also mention using diffrent size rod or may have been pin in effect boosting it up to a 206 with a little more oopmhh. It may be cheaper to just buy a new crank. Wanted to steer clear of an indian one if poss, whats the choices for around £200 for an RB?

That looks very expensive for a rod and bearing.

Here's MB prices and one of the big end bearings there is what they put in their Alpha cranks.

I took 2 SIL GP200 cranks [apparently the webs are supposed to be good] to Grampian near Liverpool, they split the crank and fitted a Yam rod 115mm to one and a 110mm rod in the other, Rods were about £30 bearings about £10, took about 30 mins to do both and they charged me £10, probably all plus vat.
