They changed the nuts a few months ago. The original ones were very highly chromed and even the Black rims came with chrome nuts. I had a lot of problems with these nuts not fitting into the recess on the rims. When they changed them, possibly using a different supplier?, the chrome was nowhere near as good as the old ones, that's if the new ones are chrome plated, not sure about that. At the same time they started supplying Black nuts with the Black rims. However since they changed them I've never had one that didn't fit the recess on the rim.
Last time I looked SIP were out of stock of the chrome nuts and I couldn't find the Black ones on their site.
