Glad you went the difficult route and stayed with the GS motor. Too many people ruin the damn scoot with PX lumps.

Lovely smooth motor and quite primative looking. Got to suss the new wiring configuration out now.
Sussed it out in the end.Did the opposite to what was on the wiring diagram....and it works.Spend £300+ on an ignition kit and they cant even get the wiring correct and show you to add and additional kill switch.Yeh...i`ll mount it in the middle of the headset, that will look good.Niall at Retrospective was ace on this and did me a wiring diagram that works. Will be taking for MOT this Sat.This thing isnt fast but its one of the nicest scooters ive ever ridden :D

I have a PX lump lying around I could swap for a GS/SS engine in top condition... It's EFL, electronic, has starter engine and auto lube. Currently fitted Mahle thin ring piston... :)

I would appreciate if you could post a picture of the wiring diagram for the Vespatronic kit. It's a f****** joke, no flywheel and a wiring diagram or a purple tool.
I followed the diagram exactly, the scooter went backwards. Can you believe that. Picture of the diagram would be appreciated. As I have no lights or horn.
Thanks Gary

Off for MOT tomorrow. Will post a few more pics over weekend but all up n running with the Vespatronic kit now.Not the fastest thing ive ridden but love the original 1950`s Vespa feel n sound.Never ridden anything like it.Left all bling/tatt off and got back to what the GS was intended for in the 1st place..a sports scooter.
