Taff sells the allen bolts and lock wire kit. I understand that Ian had difficulty sourcing M7 allen bolts, which were then cross-drilled and hardened. That's why they were expensive.

However, I agree with Sean, especially as this is an ali barrel and the repetition of inserting and extracting the bolts will wear the threads in the barrel. I found them rather hard to use and required a stock of lock-wire as it couldn't be re-used.

On the LCGB site someone posted a thread about using some tab-washers to secure the nuts onto studs. I don't think these were commercially available.

i contrabuted to that thread and posted my pic of how iv have been securing my nuts :shock: this method was used on my old race scoots back in the mid 80,s and im sure ian or terry told me to do it, i, use an old (or new) chain adjusted bolt locking tab and shape it to suit
