yes it is mate..

but i have a problem

the slide is made out of cast ally, not chrome as you have mentioned before..

and on the arc, at the bottom of the slide a little chip has broken away interupting the arc itself..

i sense this is a problem :( :( :(

Look on the bright side, mate :D You got it for next to nothing, and you've found out it's not an economic fix before you've wasted days, weeks, months, trying to sort the jetting :D I'd call that a result ;)

God knows what the history of that slide is, it's a right state and, anyway, the cutouts too big and is defo for a leaner running bike, and will be no use on a 185 (is that what you've got?). PWK33s use a bigger cutout, possibly like that, which I've heard of being used on TS1s in Germany but, believe me, even if it didn't have a chink missing, you'd never get it running right.

I know all this  because a couple of years back I bought a genuine PWK28 on ebay. Very good price, very good condition, but a chrome slide that was for a bike. From memory, I was quoted £48 plus VAT for a new slide____________needless to say, the carb's still in the garage to be used as spares for my other Keihins.

As I said on an earlier post, pass it back to your mate, and buy another carb ;)
