Cheers for the advice, thats the route I'll go too

Just started stripping the engine and box down.
The clutch was a 6 spring one and the pressure plate had a groove worn in it.
The brass push has got a chunk out of it and theres bits of brass in the clutch cover :(
The new clutch is a 7 spring complete one from beedspeed.
Do I need to soak the complete clutch overnight in gearbox oil or would that already have been done ?

some of these clutches are of unknown origin - if it was me i would strip it and check all components and tolerences and check how it works outside the bike - while it was a part i would bath them again

the one ive just put in that 200 motor was already "wet", but i stripped it and soaked the plates anyway, only a 2 minute job. give the plates an hour or so in the oil, and re-build/re-fit. done 560 miles on it since last wednesday...its alrite, i did fit uprated springs while it was apart.

That is a really big squish band = very small combustion chamber. Might be the pic.

Thats not a standard barrel!! Multi port iron mmmm!
Anyhow looks like leaking head and not sealing properly, could be a few things, possibly just loose head nuts, or barrel stud not fully tight in casing poss stripped thread? Also you'll need to lap the head to make sure it's level and not warped.

never even looked at that Baz! was looking for scores...(like Annan United...) on the barrel. it looks like a POLINI 207. an its not siezed! i would just put it back standard and sell the top end, if you cant fettle a clutch, living with a Polini 207 will send you over the edge.

just looking at the picture of the topend - what came in the KACE bag ? KACE stuff can be very dubious so beware

KACE was a complete clutch from beedspeed, barrel is stamped polini 200
