Ok you got me, I'd just like bigger balls, back to the topic anyway. The Avanti is a great kit.

Whilst the Avanti is a good kit for what it's designed for, it doesn't have anywhere near the grin factor of a well set up TS1, although a lot more torque. Gearing will play a part, but when I rode Ron's it was more like a big block GT kit, nice, but certainly not revvy.

I have had a mugello and a monza. The monza is fantastic and in my opinion a far better kit than a TS1. Why? i hear you ask, well,
1) you get a centre squish, very good quality head in the price.
2) The super monza piston is far better quality than an old asso one and most others out there.
3) more meat for further tuning
4) more or less same performance as TS1.

The Mugello is also an excellent piston port kit when done correctly. Still comes with the super monza piston (without holes! Lol!) and an excellent quality centre squish head. A certain shop sells them slightly reworked by one of the countries top tuners
No, i dont work for the shop but it's where i got mine from and it was reworked by that tuner and is now excellent.
For me Monza/TS1 performance is my kind of set up though.

I've got a Mugello and a Monza and I have owned a TS1.

Out of the box the Mugello was a real disappointment. Not much better than standard. I then blew it up and spent a fair bit of cash getting it reworked into a 240 reed valve set up. It pulls like a train and is a great ride. Not massively fast but it goes the same speed up hills as it does down. The perfect touring set up. However, it cost a a lot and I would say that the standard Mugello isn't really worth it.

The Monza and the TS1 were very similar to each other. Not so great low down but you get that addictive rush as they go into the power band. Lots of fun but quite highly strung..

Now I'm an old fart I love the tourer, as a young hooligan I loved the TS1 and the Monza is more or less the same.
