I was told at Mb making a strong gear was the easy part it was the selector that caused problems.
Rimini would easily sell a few hundred, even if you didn't use it you could have it in the garage and show and tell when friends came round :o  ;)

simply can't see the point, most people arent even going 60, if you want to save fuel then why not up gear the engine?? i didnt find i needed anymore gears last year and im sure that i wont have a relevation this year. they are another bolt 0n accessory, i might just get 5 speed painted on my panels, whose going to know??!.its a fancier jelly filled keyboard for internet scooterists, an isle of White upgrade for money bags mod yachts. if anyones so interested in saving fuel money then why spend a hundred quid on a binge drinking saturday at a scooter rally?. stay at home and mow the lawn. best of luck to them though, i do understand and admire innovation even pointless innovation.

Maybe a bit like having Arther or Roy on your panels when neither have ever seen the motor? ;)

I wouldn't call it pointless innovation, and it's purpose isn't to save fuel.

Huge benefits for low powered/tuned vehicles with engines that overheat when laboured - If you can't see the point, try driving a car using only 1st, 3rd and 5th!

I think a 5 speed box will improve many TS1/RB type motors into something many people want. It'll make it much more tractable and even out any gear step/rpm issues. A great innovation IMO.

Or step over the untractable nature of the engine.
A tractable engine is the one that can pull the four speed box without dropping out of the power.

I said make it MORE tractable, this will apply to any 4 speed motor. If you use Avantone's gearing calculator along with data of your motor's useable torque you can see why a 5 speed box is better.
