You wouldn't use a lathe to do a job like this, you'd use a milling machine

I had one done by John Madison (Scooter Loopy John). Top work as you'd expect. Did it for mates rates but he is reasonable anyway. He's your man if your anywhere near the South coast

Thats a good idea, think i will give it a whirl to see if anyones interested in a swap.
I might have a chrome ring headset at home mate, I am currently in India and will be back a week on friday if you aint sorted by then I will give you a shout.

Thats a good idea, think i will give it a whirl to see if anyones interested in a swap.

I have the same problem so have looked for a new headset bottom just waiting for my cheque to clear. Still need the correct horncasting though.
