as for the oil on the wheel, if he can make this kind of stuff im sure he is none to worried about a leaking seal/ gasket or what ever has caused it.

If you keep your Lambretta in the living room he's probably never had dirty oil or petrol anywhere near his museum exhibit.
As for this race bike I wish I could even think about the engineering required to make it work. Then, I'm am a bodger.
At the end of the day they are both Lambrettas and thats as far as it goes.

He would have got 10 out of 10 for just thinking up the Idea..... To be able to build it and make it work.........Far beyond my capabilities......

I saw that the other day. First outing and so early days yet. I would imagine its more about using a dry clutch rather than frictional losses tbh. I'll ask him next week.

The race paddock is full of ideas and developments.... its an interesting place. Some ideas never make it out the paddock... others find their way to mass production and the road.
Over the years some incredible engineers have developed ideas ... Dave Webster, Norrie Kerr, Terry Frankland, Ralph Remnant, Paul Baker, Charlie Edmonds and of course Guy Topper along with many others have all introduced or developed some great ideas.
Anyone involved in engineering would find the race paddock a very interesting place!
