Great idea, and ideal place to carry more gear. Price does seem pretty lumpy to me in the current climate. im looking at buying a scooter bench/stand for £200 which has had a lot more work put into it than the toolbox so cant really see why its so exspensive.

Shame really but all the same a very good idea.... :D

actually the "german" version as you call it is powdercoated by design and only costs EUR 49,- which is a lot cheaper then GBP 60,-.

Additionally it is tried and tested on Li S2/S3, SX/Special/TV and DL/GP - meaning it fits under all these panels without contact to the panel or the brakedrum!

The mounting possibilities are IMHO by no means inferior to the "pro design" version. There are more then enough strategically located holes in the box to fix it to a multitude of places like the sprint-rack holes or the top left licence plate hole (which I prefer).

I do understand that one will want to shine the light on his own product (even if it is copied, but that was just a matter of time anyway and kinda expected), but thats still no reason to make somebody elses product look bad. Especially as I don´t see the "pro design" version to be any better at all. Especially with only 1 blurry picture of it to look at.

I use Bastis "Linksträger" box as it is named, on my Silver Special since last fall. Had oil, tools and an axe in it on my way to the elefant meeting this january; even with this quite heavy load it did not move at all. The inferior looking fixing kit is more then up to the job of holding the box in place.

Just in case you are wondering; I don´t produce or sell the thing. But I did do all the reserch, testing and measuring of the box on all the above stated models. ;)
