Rapidos have big sweeps inside the barrel transfers compared to a cast iron....and come with tight piston clearances and insufficient blow down.....they still need reworking.

Hi Dan what do you mean by big sweeps in the transfers and the comparison of them to a cast iron design.
the race version of the rapido has higher ex duration and makes blowdown ok for a std kit but like most cylinders you can always find improvements
the clearances are a bit tight and not consistent along the length of the bore so a hone to size is required of which af would do for you,theres a few piston options mahle and asso of which are ok and a substitute could be requested as an exchange if you want to go for a thin ring piston
