did all mine on my series two with araldite makes a nice rounded rivet head style just a blob on each.

Get a mate or the missus to press on the badge with a block of wood and using a sharp pointed punch to fit in the badges' pegs gently tap with a small hammer to flair the pegs out.Some pegs are too long and will not mushroom out so shorten them before peening.With care you can get then virtually flat so they don't stick out too far.
