Ive got a couple of tuned Brettas but theres something about a fast Vespa and know where your coming from.I could have an RB or a Super Duper Monza but it wouldnt give the grin i get from my smallie when it orbits and screams off.You get guys going on about hp and torque on their Brettas (sounding like Alan Partridge) and your by the side of them on what they will call a girls scooter.
I've got a Quattrini M1XL on a 63 GL that is 5 stone ( 70 lbs) lighter than a Lambretta . It would have to be a very highly modified TS1 to come close to beating it !
Its a reinforced PX 125 casing, transfers matched , full circle crank, lightened flywheel, 30mm BGM powerjet carb, modified RZ right hand exhaust, ram air cooling duct, banded Cosa clutch, fuel pump, Chiselspeed advance/retard ignition. If you get this kit let me know and I may be able to offer one or two useful tips as Ive had mine on the road for the last 18 mths and ridden it 400 miles to I.O.W and back., 400 miles to EuroLambretta at Killarney and plenty of other long distance runs. Martin at Chiselspeed has tweaked the port timings a little for me and set it up and is the person I would recommend you take it to once its built so he can set yours up on the dyno plus he has quite a bit of experience with Quattrini kits
