I agree, my Stage 5 Muggy 225 is a flyer. I think I should reconsider getting rid of it.

WOW wouldnt that be revving at about 8500rpm, as far as im aware the pipes dont rev that far and if they do they have been modified. and at those revs the tourque curve drops right off and thats were incline and wind would have its most effect .... just asking like

mine is a similar set up with standard gp200 gearing and is flat out at 65mph for me to get to 83mph i would need to be reving close to 9000 rpm

out of the box expect 12 - 14 bhp on a 58 mm stroke crank

Same here, Mugello 225, 30mm PHBH, GP 200 box 18/47, Taffspeed Mk4, 11 stone rider. Sits at 65, 70-75 tops in good conditions.

cant see why youre all getting lower speeds than me,was out on it again at weekend,same again, 80 plus.

got no rev counter,so dont know what revs i'm at,but like i said it's been measured on tw@ nav and a 200 auto vep.

Pity Dr Booth aint on here,he could vouch for those speeds too.

oh,just to add, my speedo reads about 9-10 mph out,and it goes off the clock,reading 90

As standard the 225 Mugello is a bit lame due to trf timing of 117/118 degrees. Increase the trf timing to 123/124 and they are good. Fitting a 60mm crank will lift the trf timing to an acceptable level without cutting the barrel
