do the wassel dc conversion its worth it
..The speedo comes complete with the quick start wire which means you apply a permanent live to this wire and it keeps gps signal, but to be fair you don't need it, just applying 12 volts on start up is fine because it only takes 30 secs to find it's signal the hot wire just makes it instant, but in all honesty by the time youv'e farted about with choke etc it's on and ready..

muppet,
i hope you have checked the clearance, it does look the biz.where do you mount the ariel and most important the cost including postage?
regards
joe
Joe.. the aerial is a small magnetic block about inch and 1/2 square and about 10mm deep..Haven't decided yet to mount it permanent or it can be left in tool box and then just pulled out and stuck on tool box..but it has to see sky..but i have tested it in my shed and it seem to pick up even inside shed !!
As regards to cost , it's not cheap at $260+$40 P&P..They are quite good and only value it at $20 for import tax reasons so you don't get stung again when it comes into the uk !!
You can go on the speedhut web site and just for fun you can mock up your own design and colours etc.

Looks sooo cool. I think it was this brand that got a mention in another thread, the only pics were full on, so its great to see that they are so shallow and not a prob depth wise.
I also wondered about the function/mode switch through the face, does this look waterproof?

I contacted speedhut before buying it to ask about it being waterproof.. They said it's suitable for motorcyle use and yes fully waterproof..
