hi,ok,what i'm thinking is cutting a slot with a 1mm cutting disc in the bottom of the big end eye,is this correct.
loooking at the rod and 12 o'clock is the little end and the rod is vertical how far round would you take the slot 5-7 o'clock something,like that,cheers for the advice.

If you're gonna be machining your Ape rod, can you do mine at same time? Try and get a look at the Charlie Edmonds rod that he's had specially made up...lots of oil grooves. I'll see if I can find any pics!

Did you get Piston already? I got a new KHC 70mm pattern Suzuki 1mm rings going spare. My barrel is 70.4 so need to re assess piston situation. Thought Beedpseed pistons were 1.5mm rings?
