Rapido Classic 225 problem?

Anything related to Lambrettas... ask tech questions, post helpful info, or just read and learn.

seen loadsa Rapidos like this, my classic is also like this. just locktite the stud in , and itll be ok. its a 2 stroke, the barrel is full of holes anyway! ran mine for well over 15000 miles and it didnt affect it. the barrel spigot has cracked though, so its knackered now, shame, as the bore/piston/crown/head etc is in mint condition. cast iron going back on. :cry:

I had a brand new Rapido 225 exactly the same as this. I was told it was where Rayspeed had run out of 225 kits and bored out Rapido 200 kits and that it was not a problem. I loctited the inlet stud in and never had any problems all the time I was running this set up. I've since gone down the TS1 route.

Mines like that, posted exactly the same query on here before fitting, mines been fine..

No Jaime, the problem is when a 200 Rapido Classic is bored to 225.
