nearly same set up as i have. rapido race 225 del 30 no filter sx200 4.8 pulled great with pm pipe on one up driver pull so go changed to 4.6 and was very nice.one day decided to go for standered look on with af48 ,af42 then kb clubman kb was best all at 4.8 then got my hands on a jl3 curley 1st 2nd then 3th it dies max out now putting on a modifided pm to fit full body series 2

Would this make much of a difference though & with modern day fuel I thought 17 would be better

Mike,Just to muddy the water a bit more on my rapido classic,my timing is set at 16 static,and touch wood its been fine,no performance loss,runs nice and cool.When I spoke to AF was told to set it at 19,but wanted to err on the side of caution ,3000+ miles all OK.

I use 19 degrees on cast iron and TS1 with no issues for years.
