frank sanderson wrote:Ride height is lower than a GTS Vespa it has to be higher than a std lamby as it has 12 " wheels . it looks higher at the rear as the rear wheel has to be of the ground for starting as it has an auto engine . Also the rear suspension has preload like a motorcycle it sits higher until you are on it the suspension starts to work when it is level . on most lambys suspension travel is below horizontal
thats why they always look nose high when loaded up .The indicators are the smallest legal e rated ones we can find in theory you could change them but the originals would need to be refitted for MOT .There are mods for the motor but you dont really need them performance is at least the same as A GTS 300 which if you are riding anything other than a highly tuned lamby will usualy be seen diaspearing into the distance on runs especialy on motorway journeys.

yer i understand now what you mean when someone sits on it, also i like how you have kept the stand on the engine instead of a centre stand under the floor.

could the indicators not have smoked lenses and orange bulbs instead?

so can these be modified and tweaked a bit at all?

personally I would change the indicators to some mini led ones

I changed my indicators to these, clear indicators but LED,had to make some new brackets for them as they mount differently to the originals

also is it possible to lower the ride height at all?

Once you get used to it,it's OK(I thought it was high),if you think it's high wait until you see how wide they are compared to a standard Lambretta

My missus is 5 foot 5 and she coped OK with the ride height(Didn't like the seat as it's a tad on the hard side!!! LOL)

i know i sound like im pointing out negatives, but really im just thinking about what would make it perfect for me

Even though I've had some problems I'd have another one anyday,I wouldn't have attempted the journeys i did last year on my TS1,I did 7000 miles in 4 months,Spain,Switzerland,Italy and Belgium plus weekend trips to Scotland and other rallies.
With current fuel prices and the fact i only get approx 24 mpg on the TS1 the Scomadi returns approx 50 mpg on full chat and as it's 4 stroke no messing about mixing the oil

Just need to get mine sorted sometime soon,as long as it's not an expensive repair :(
