Good stuff, thanks. Well that shows that a powerful/tuned motor can be cooled efficiently with a decent head alone then.

And you have no problems with overheating round town and at slow speeds etc?

Do you use any additional air scoops n such, or just standard bodywork?

am i correct that ts1(and others)are hottest at the exhaust side of the barrel and as such seizures tend to take place here ? ,would there also be any benifit in extending the fin area in that area on the barrel ??

also ...would this be illegal in bsso ??

Hot around town? The engine doesn't make any real heat until it comes on pipe, i can come off a motorway and leave it ticking over couple of minutes and then hold the head. No extra scoops are needed, iv'e never seen the temp pass 90 on an engine using this setup.

Chalky had a f**k off great head on his racing scoot at Lydenn but wouldnt reaval what it was off, he did give me a clue but i was pretty wan*ered when the conversation took place so i cant remeber that much. :o He also had a large scoop which was held in place by 2 springs over the top of the barrel, very simple but effective. You would have to drop the shock to get at the plug but thats no biggy.
