Racemans

im putting a set of pacemans on which ever ones i get. im gonna have a go at slapping them on myself.

Why would you fit average tyres to an inferior product?

Sips and Schwalbes. Fitted myself.

the perfect set up (at mo) for me as i can cahnge tyres easily myself and not have to pay anyone to do it.

Is no one using the scootrs rims anymore? I got a set from them and fitted my S1's to them in ten minutes by hand. I fitted some bridgeport valves and i think they are good quality for the money. I don't like the big gap on the AF ones and having to change the studs for long ones on the S.I.P ones.

Not exactly.

He was trying to mount S83s and those tires are quite stiff. I don't know what type of tire machine they were using or their experience level. He's trying another dealer and we've also offered to mount them for free - which we do for anyone buying rims and tires. Like I said, it's an easy job for us using Heidenaus which also have an insanely stiff sidewall. Anything else will be a piece of cake. On the SIP rims, they were actually more difficult to mount than the AF rims on the machine - the deeper well does nothing to help (maybe for those installing by hand?) and there is actually less of a lip for the machine to grab. We've installed more than anyone over here and I'd say it's not an easy job and certainly not one that should be taken lightly. Shop it around and take it to someone that does a lot of 10" rims.

That's our experience anyway. If I had one criticism of the product from AF or SIP it would be that it wasn't designed to be something one does at home on the floor of your garage. Then again, I'm not sure it's possible to design them that way.

The sip one are designed to be done at home that's why you can. They also sell the levers to do it

Anyone tried getting Bridgestone hoops onto the AF rims, have tried two diffrent fitting stations neither could get them on with either a machine or by hand.
