Agree with Tj Hooker wires need changing round in rear lamp...also there is no directional light from these bulbs backwards or sideways (they direct light only out of front of bulb) so using one renders your backlight reflector useless...normal 12v filament lamp with polished relector will be seen to be brighter by those following you which is what you want if you don`t want rear ending!!!!!

I always use the white ones so you still have a white numberplate light, Mr MOT man will jump on it if he has a bad day. (The red ones are no brighter) I also run Full DC so get the full brightness of the LEDS as they work on cars.
Yours sounds more like the Brake and tail are the wrong way round though.

Where can I get one of the 36 LED bulbs from

, I too have just a standard LED one fitted at the moment, it makes sense to have LEDs round the sides of the bulb thus making better use of the reflector unit.

Did an LED conversion on my 57 LDB 150 AVV. Added a brake switch to the foot pedal as well.
You can read the post here:
http://www.lambretta.org/message/viewtopic.php?t=12516. At the bottom, I posted photos of the finished product, complete with pics of the new brake pedal. Hope this helps. I ran a standard 12V Festoon 10W bulb as my brake light and an LED Festoon as my running light, since it would be going most of the time.

As you can see from the start of this thread, electrics to me is a dark art (well it is when I do it  ) looking at that link it does make more sense to have more leds, but is a 12v AC system positive or negative earth

? just so as I know which bulb to get.Cheers.

As it's AC (earth will be alternating from pos to neg and back) the LEDs will only light on one half cycle, so both types will work exactly the same on it.
