With so many lammy kits around and more in the pipe line is it safe to say theres not as much in the vespa world..?

vespas have for some reason their own kit makers such as polini ,pinasco,quatrini, and of course malossi (not to mention a whole host of others )...all big companys of course...None of which have done kits for lambrettas as far as i,m aware..which seems a shame cos i,d love to see a malossi kit for lambrettas

Thats my point exactly Sean....large companys...yet why do our mainstream scooter shops/tuners not push the boundries on Vespas..there must be a market at the costs been published as there tons of vespas about or is it just a closed market to the large companys like polini ,pinasco,quatrini,malossi ..

The problem is price, put two kits on the table of comparable quality and technology and the scooterist is mostly guided by budget. There are far more P ranges and small frames out there and this is what those companies are after. With the exception of Falc these companies dominate. Lambretta, by comparison, is a much smaller market. There is not the market for 1000's per year and this is what excludes the big players.
As a kit designer and builder you have to consider very carefully where you will strategically target your product to achieve the best economics and returns (if you ended up 25k down that is some explaining to the wife). Things to avoid are low market prices and strong competition (IMO this is the small frame and P range market), it all goes back to drawing up the Venn diagram of where and how you want to position a product (the right sized fish in the right sized pond with the right product).
If you can not diferentiate your product in a positive way from a competitor the customer will most likely chose the cheapest. A fine example of this is the current crop of Indian alloy kits and electronic ignitions on Ebay, if people didn't buy them then they wouldn't be there. Ironically, reliability and quality seems to take a back seat in the rush to bag a bargain.

yes the super monza is eagerly awaited
the monza kit its self is a great piece, now reworked plus lots of r&d under its belt
and done to exacting standards it has to be the way to forward.
i have rode a monza tuned by mark broadhurst some time ago and the thing flew
so i have high hopes for this kit

Falc isn't going to produce a Lammy kit.
He is too much into the smallframe thing and he spent all his time to develop smallframe kits, clutch exhaust etc. and to assemble the engines for the racers of the VPI.
There also few possibilities to see a P-range cylinder kit becausa as told before he works alone and it's full time on smallframes.
