Probably don't need to chop this much out, but I couldn't be arsed with a dremmel.

Just to clarify - I'm doing this conversion, too - does the 'sleeved' section of the valve nut sit flush in the hole in the rim? Trying to work out if I need to file the hole a bit bigger as the nut won't currently fit in the hole.
Please stop me if I'm about to fook it up!

Alright Dan, not exactly sure what you mean, but the sleeved part of nut that holds the valve in, shouldn't go into the hole at all, otherwise it wouldn't tighten up. It would stop the valve itself fom seating properly. So, have you got the right size valve? Maybe some confusion as I'm standing upside down as I write this because of where you live :biggrin:
Ring them blokes from the fosters advert, they'll put you right :biggrin:

I've definitely got the 11.3mm Bridgeports, and I've only modified (Dremmeled) one of the rims so far. Just wasn't sure if the nut was meant to screw 'in' to the valve hole as part of the sealing process, because the outer diameter of the sleeved part of the nut is only 1mm or so bigger than the hole. Kind of looks like it should go in, but I get what you mean about pulling the valve down onto the rim when you tighten it.
Fosters? Never heard of it...

Ok the rims have arrived and first things first the quality of them is very very good. They are the straightest lammy rims i have ever seen. Anyway scootrs were out of stock of their preferred valves so i got some bridgeport valves from Demon tweeks. I had to file a few mm from the rim above where the valve sits to make them fit but it was no hardship.http://i839.photobucket.com/albums/zz32 ... /photo.jpg[/img]
