Or one of those little mirrors on a stick Why not try to get a NOS choke unit, far better quality than the crap about today.The main prob with the choke lever is the ramp turning inside the housing or the pin wearing on the arm.

Right lets all back up a tad.....lol......the link to the pull out choke, couldnt a bespoke cable be made up for this ie..dellorto carb barrel and all with this pull out set up..? Surely it can be done...my choke tap btw is difficult to turn so the choke is full on and wont stay as it springs back to half way...the difference is 3 kicks or 1 kick from cold holding the lever fully on..

you could use the malossi flip type choke it fits in the hole i know this as dave briggs done it to the red twin auto lammy

When i converted my LD to an auto i used the original lever from the LD that pulls out twists 180 degrees (nice) then locks into place ,i made a cable and then used it with a 25mm delly carb.

The LD choke lever will fit series 1/2/3 lambretta's and i suppose you could use it with a chiselspeed adjustable cable ,just i thought if people are getting fed up with the usual tat out there.

Not sure if casa lambretta are remaking these yet tho

how is your cable routed Bilko ?
nice and smooth ?
is the lever cap pushed fully home onto the back of the lever housing ?
otherwise that is taking up a large part of the operation...
on the last couple of bikes with VHSBs on the right hand side I've worked on, i made a choke cable to fit the best route, anything else is a compromise...

Hello Jarv, late reply I was out, sorry.

It loops round the recess in the Diablo tank.

I'll see if I can find a pic.

But I used an Indian lever and nicked a pin, spring and brass spring holder from one of my old Italian levers and an MB Developments cap.

It is working now, though the lever is stiff, it holds open.

But it'll do for now. I'm actually happier I've a black lever.

Worked perfect Jarv the first few times then the pin disloged itself... need a better quality lever i thinks..did do the job though deepening the V for the pin to sit in and lock..
