never had a prob with these on the last 2 ts1,s or the the last 2 rapido.s standard springs with vespa ones fitted as well yam lever 5 plate rear sprocket i just make sure that the plates separate properly and they dont bind i uses surflex steels with the thin top plate , i also make sure the sprocket and spider have 0.1 clearance as per stickys book and not the 1mm+ most seem to have, i also use an indian clutch center as there slightly deeper than other makes (got this info of ian from taffspeed) i will conced that i havent had any high power screamers but my set up is similar to what i used on a gp4 race scoot many yrs ago altho i dont know what corks i used then

I have just fitted 5 LTH plate kit, I used my old 1.2mm steels to get some more separation rather than the 1.5mm items supplied, but as recommend I fitted the 1.5mm steel with the long tags first and bent them up 45°, and they are working perfect. They are made of a brown cork and are 2.5mm thick. The only modification I carried out before fitting was to file the oil groves to aid lubrication.
Afterwords I started to think about the concept of the 2.5 clutch plate and basically came to the conclusion that the ultimate item would probably be 5 old worn Suflex B items that somebody was just about to put in the bin, just file down the oil groves get some thinner steels and away you go.
Best Regards

Chris

The kit consits of six Red friction plates, five steel plates, a top plate, five CLW competition springs, clutch half nut.
