looks an interesting cooling arrangement.... air cooled, but with a big head ?? does that work out ok with full bodywork ?
and there are much more Ah for your money than trailtech batteries...

Have to admit i have never owned a TS1, little brother cezeta owns one and before he skipped the (check the head frequently service)
he did thousands of miles, some local thrashes but most trips to europe.
I agree it depends who builds it and if you use quality parts but most of the things you read on forums would put you off a TS1/RB.
I had an hour on chalkies replay scooters RB250 and it was very good, it is a high geared tourer using SX200 and 17/46 gearing,
but i had spent my money in doncaster

I meant the trailtech is expensive for the power it has, much cheaper batteries are available, providing more power, admittedly maybe physically a little larger, but still easy enough to fit somewhere on a lambretta.
anyway, tell us more about your cooling...

and never had any over-heating issues ? on long, hard runs ? I was thinking along those lines, but on a cutdown. what head is it ? MZ fit iirc ?
drifting here, maybe start a new thread...?

The head is one of broadhursts re cast ones, im not sure what he took it from. Its nothing new, Geoff Stephens tunes the engines, and specifys these for tuned motors. I run egt and cht and dont get temps any were near the figures banded around on here, pottering round town or sat on the motorway for miles on end. This is my 3rd engine running this setup, and know of plenty others with the same on the road.
