There were rumours of a split rim for tubeless tyres. I understand that there was to be an O ring to seal the two halves.

I have no idea if the rims you saw were of this type, but I see no reason to stop my great tradition of idle spectulation.

Did you notice a bead inside the rim for tubeless fitting?
I can't say I did Martin but there definately wasn't an O ring between the to halves, if I had to make a guess, I'd say they were produced on the same press as used for the steel ones. I wouldn't think they would be rigid enough to maintain a seal.
